Mission Public School District considers selling Stave Falls Elementary

That was the spark that inspired many people in Stave Falls to get organized and start to lobby the Mission School Board to not only forget about any notion to sell the school property but to reopen it as a public elementary school.

This newly formed association of community minded people sought to acquire the one-acre site located at 29873 Dewdney Trunk Rd. and on September 22, 1955, the “Corporation of the District of Mission” sold this one-acre parcel of land to the Stave Gardens Community Association for exactly One Dollar.
